Innovation is the innovative restaurant with class, style and space. Marble tables stretch from wall to wall and decadent lighting is pitched a a level that is just right. It's a place where you can eat and be spoilt but at a price that is also, pleasantly, surprisingly, affordable. The former base of the Maidenhead British Legion has been transferred into a palace of a restaurant. Not only a destination of choice for couples and families, it is also the newest party venue in town. Innovation can even accommodate large wedding parties of up to 495 people, over three floors.

On arrival we were met by Mr Siddiqi who welcomed us and showed us straight to our beautifully decorated, Indian marble, table. While the restaurant has not yet held its official opening, the tables around us were full with at least one large dinner party underway.

We were offered choices from the extensive menu - what a selection to decide from. Casting my eyes through the price list I was surprised to see how inexpensive it was. Chicken Tikka Massala was under £7.00! Innovation offers a full range of Mogul Indian food, which represents fine dining Indian style, from seafood to venison and chicken to vegetarian dishes. We choose lamb Naknovi kebab, tikka and of course onion bhaji for starters. Followed by king prawn tandoori and Murgh massala for mains.

The starter arrived very quickly. Hot, aromatic and yes it tasted as good as it looked. Succulent tikka with bhajis slightly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.

The main course was a banquet fit for a king. Generous portions and so well presented, it seemed like an indulgence and that seemed to be almost too good to be true. At under £10 a bottle, the house wine not only ticked the 'budget' box, it was also very pleasant. .

All this luxury and quality food at such a high standard and at such an amazing cost! I definitively will not only be returning but I will be highly recommending Innovation to friends and associates. Innovation is definitely to be savoured and enjoyed.
